"Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing."

Thomas Jefferson, letter to Martha Jefferson, May 5, 1787

As in Thomas Jefferson's letter above to his daughter, Martha, we determine never to be idle. Our chapter projects are many, as evidenced from a few listed below:

  • Provide for the restoration and donations of rare and scarce books to the Roanoke City library.
  •  Provide time, gifts, and personal care items to our veterans.
  •  Provide for the Pamunky American Indians living on reservations in Virginia through our American Indian Committee.
  • Participate in the restoration of patriotic grave stones and refurbishment of grounds, including the Breckinridge cemetery.
